PokerPoint ("we", "us", or "our") is a free planning poker tool for agile teams. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to operate the service:

  • Usage data: We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how users interact with the site (page views, session duration, general location by country). This data does not identify you personally.
  • Room session data: Nicknames and votes entered during a planning poker session are stored temporarily in memory for the duration of the session only. This data is not persisted to any database and is permanently deleted when the session ends.
  • No account data: PokerPoint does not require registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.

3. How We Use Information

  • To operate and improve the service
  • To understand how users interact with PokerPoint (analytics only)
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes
  • We do not use your data for advertising targeting

4. Cookies

We use cookies solely through Google Analytics to measure site traffic. These are analytics cookies and do not track you across other sites for advertising purposes. You may disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

  • Google Analytics 4 (usage analytics)
  • Cloudflare (infrastructure and DDoS protection)
  • PartyKit (real-time WebSocket infrastructure)

6. Data Retention

Session data (nicknames, votes) is held in memory only for the active session and is not stored beyond session expiry. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics per their standard data retention policy.

7. Your Rights
